A woman calls in saying if we have made an appeal and he went on that basis, our man. They havent told us anything but how long is it until they post a letter. Harjap says 4 to 8 weeks. The woman says 4 to 8 weeks, they dont tell you there and then. Harjap says no not then. The woman says our papers were fine, the people who sponsored were a nursing home and the date was 30th July. Harjap says dont wait for it yet, it will take about 2 months. The woman says for the letter to come? Harjap says yes. The woman says ok in a disappointed manner and says we dont know if the visa was given or not. Harjap says dont tell you, they have to read the whole file and then make the decision, not just on the spot like magic. The woman says it was a work holiday visa and we just wanted to ask that, with the appeal from India and the papers were sent from here. Harjap says did you get a lawyer from here. She says yes, from here. Harjap says it is fine then. The woman says dont they even tell the lawyer. Harjap says they do when the decision is made. The woman says afterwards, after 4 to 8 weeks. Harjap says yes. The woman says ok and bye. Harjap says the judges dont stay free, they have 10 cases a day to look at and then they even have to write about it, poor them.

Harjap goes to the phone lines and a man starts to say his question. Harjap says you havent said hello or anything and you just started. The man says hello, how are you. Harjap says hello, Im fine. The man says I like your words. Harjap says thank you. The man says my wife came here on a work permit and from today, it has been 5 years. I am here dependent and with me are my 2 children. 3 years ago, in a no entry sign, I went into with it my vehicle and got 3 points and a fine. In the questions, it says you should write your traffic offences. Shall I write this or not? Harjap says you should. The man says will it affect my case much? Harjap says not much. The man says I have only gone into a no entry sign and got 3 points. Harjap says no problem, fill it in. If you didnt and they found out, they will refuse you for lying. It is best you tell all the truth and it wont affect anything. Everyone has points, even me. He says I really enjoy your Punjabi and thank you very much. Harjap says whenever you fill in an application; the government here want to see if you have not done any criminal work or anything. The driving offences and points here and there, you can write them and you should declare them. It is to make sure you are telling the truth with the government, they want to make sure you havent done things like kill anyone or hit anyone. Driving offences will not count. A woman calls saying her wedding was in 2006 and after 6 months she called her husband over to the UK. After 1 year, 4 months she found out when going India, with the holidays booked, her husband said he didn't want to go India as his passport was inbounded with a criminal charge from India. When he renewed his passport, he didn't declare this. He received this information notice to his house but he didn't show it to her all these years. So we had arguments, to which Harjap says they were bound to happen. After 2 months, he went to India and came back and said everything is clear. I decided I didn't want to stay with this criminal and applied for a divorce. After this, he caused problems and I didn't know his whereabouts. He was a solicitor, working in Croydon but he never told his address. She continues by saying she got his address from his Uncle and sent divorce letters to India and his employers. He didn't acknowledge the divorce application and the judge gave him 7 days. He then replied saying he wanted to defend the divorce, saying it was unreasonable. He sent a long letter to the judge and asked for the marriage to be resolved and another opportunity. She said she don't want to live with him and the problem is that his visa is has finished.
