Sheriff's deputies didn't find what they were looking for 6 years ago when they dug a huge hole in Jeanette Spangler's barn. But they did make a big mess trying to find it. The damage included a demolished concrete floor, a water-filled hole that was 15 feet deep, a ruined septic system and piles of dirt that smothered vehicles and equipment around her Perry Township property.
